We just transfered to a new place and most of things in here now were pieces from our former abode.  Like our contemporary sofa which is terribly in need of major cleaning.  Our dining table and chairs are still here but now serve as my personal table where I place my clothes for sale before hanging them on the rack.  In fact, writing about this made me realize that we only had a few pieces of furniture.  We left our closets coz they were built-ins so we had closets made especially for our new home.  I also bought a new bed and a dining table.

What I don’t have right now is a sofa and smashing accent chair.  Last month, I had a chance to go to Kamuning Road and browse around the many second-hand and antique shops along that street.  It was actually my second time.  The last time I went there which was 4 years ago, I bought 2 Italian lamps for under 2500 pesos.  They were dirt cheap.  So I was quite surprised with the steep prices of some of the lamps and drop lights I saw during my last visit.  They now cost over 10,000 for a simple drop light to tens and even hundreds of thousands for a crystal chandelier.  If I had known this would happen in just a span of four years, I would have bought a crystal chandelier for under 20,ooo back then.

I bought two lamps which I’ll write about in another post.  For now, I’m still looking for an inexpensive accent chair for my living area.  I have found something but it’s over my budget.  I’m actually waiting for the shop owner to change his mind about the price.  I also asked him to give me a call once they’re on sale.

Anyway, here were some of the Italian chairs I kind of like.
